The Team

Karen Burton

Karen Burton is a senior history major, specializing in world and public history. She is a native Texan who moved to Canton 12 years ago from North Carolina. She has two kids enrolled in schools in Cherokee County. She'll expects to graduate May 2007 with high honors. Karen produced pieces for the Highway 5 project.

 

Todd Frary

Todd Frary is a senior at Kennesaw State University, majoring in History Education. Originally from Naples, Florida, Todd moved to Atlanta ten years ago and Woodstock almost four years ago. He enjoys hearing the history and stories of communities, and has taken a great interest in the history of Cherokee county. This project was of particular interest to Todd since he had worked for a small community radio station in Tampa. Todd produced pieces for the Highway 5 project.

 

Erin Cochran

Erin chairs the Holly Spring Historic Preservation Commission and also serves as the project coordinator for Taking Place. She graduated from KSU’s history and public history programs in 2005. Erin is producing the Powder Springs collection.

 

LeeAnn Lands is Associate Professor of History and Associate Coordinator of the American Studies Program at Kennesaw State University. She is producing the South Rome collection.
